Walking Together - Windsor Great Park December 2025

In glorious winter sunshine Walking Together rambled round Windsor Great Park.  Starting from the Savill Garden car park Anne Cleary led us past the Obelisk (partially obscured by the winter illuminations) and round Smith Lawn.  Few of us were aware that the lawn had been used as an airfield from 1920 to 1945.  Prince Albert's statue watches over woodland some of which was planted to celebrate the Coronation of George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1937. We returned to the CafĂ© at Savill Garden for a pleasant lunch and chat.  Thanks to Anne for another interesting route round the Park.
