Our July walk took place when a temperature of 30°c was forecast so we decided to shorten our planned route.  Luckily we were walking through Mytchett woods and along the Basingstoke Canal so we had plenty of shade.  Frequent halts to drink water and look at the wildlife helped all 10 of us to make it back to the Canal Centre Cafe.
