The Outings Group arrange day trips from March through to October each year, as well as a special event to celebrate Christmas.
These trips are varied to cater for most tastes and are competitively priced.
This is a very friendly group our only aim is to enjoy the days out. Come and enjoy the fun.
Important Details For All Outings
Would all participants please ensure that they have with them an emergency contact name and number. This must be taken on all the outings.
To provisionally reserve a place and to check availability before paying, please give your name to Geoff or Sharron at a monthly meeting or use our Outings contact form to send an email.
Please note that your place is not secured until payment is received in the Outings bank account.
Pick up
Unless otherwise stated, pick up is from the lay-by/bus stop outside Frogmore Campus, on the Reading Road. Please park in the top car park, next to the courts, as arranged with the campus. Only Blue Badge holders may park in the bottom car park adjacent to the road.
Payment
Please pay the full amount, via Internet banking, to the Outings account. Use the name of the outing as the reference.
Payment can be made at any time up to the 1st day of the month of the outing, but obviously your place is not reserved until payment has been received. We therefore suggest early payment to secure a place, but please give your name to us before payment to ensure there is availability on the trip.
Refunds
Please remember that, if you subsequently need to cancel a trip that has been paid for, a full refund will be made only if we can fill your place from any reserve list, or if the cancellation is due to medical reasons or medical appointment, or you are able to transfer your booking to another person.
Dietary Requirements
Some of our outings include meals. It is your responsibility to inform us of any dietary requirements you have at the time of booking.
Photography
During an outing, some photos may be taken to potentially add to our u3a website and newsletter. If anyone prefers not to appear in these photos, please let us and/or the photographer know. If it’s a group photo, simply move out of the shot.
