Eleven members met at the Tythings along the Reading Road. The weather was bright and sunny. We set off across the road and headed down Moulsham Lane until we came across a footpath that led us down towards the River Blackwater. We crossed the bridge and walked up a path that led us to Moor Green Lake car park. We walked along the road until we turned into a path that took us around Horseshoe Lake. We were beginning to feel quite warm by now. We were pleased to see the Lake View Cafe where we had refreshments and a sit down in the shade. Afterwards we took the shady path along the River Blackwater to the bridge where we retraced our steps back to our starting place. Thank you to John Lyon who led the walk.
