In February Colin Bailey's first walk as a leader proved quite eventful with an enforced diversion after only 1 mile caused by a severed live mains electric cable waving about over the route (and a big red fire engine keeping people safe by blocking the road). Coupled with a heavy downpour later in the walk it was a morning to remember. Luckily for me I only did the first mile or so, so I was safe in the Ash Vale cafe when the rain came down (smug).
Attached are my photos from the bit I did do! We even managed to find a Sulphur Tuft fungus for Tony to identify.
Next month's walk is from the Barley Mow along the canal, led by Phil so I hope the weather improves by then.
